It was a bunch of bullshit then as it is now but when you repeat lies enough, the unhinged believe it. The noise inside the bubble hit a fever pitch while the rest of the reality-based world saw through this political game and refused to play it. This is the first of what is sure to be many, many attempts by the rushpublicans over the next two years to distract and attack this administration to keep it from moving forward on a wide range of issues. This will especially be the case if the filibuster rules are revised and simple majorities once again pass legislation in the Senate.
