and the modern day Republican party will know that complete ideological purity is the way to irrelevance. It has a sad habit of not being in alignment with reality. There are people who are shitty Democrats out there (Zell Miller and Joe Liebermann I am talking to you) but just because you refuse to go along gung-ho with every single activist buzzword doesn't make you a bad Democrat. I agree with you wholeheartedly.
