they use. They have said they will oppose any 'cuts' to SS. Chained CPI is a cut. Raising the retirement is a cut. And none of that is necessary and they better realize we know all the tricks, the special language doesn't hide their intent.

What we want is what you just said. We want SS out of any discussion about the Deficit. It had nothing to do with the deficit and we don't understand why it was ever a part of the discussion in the first place.

The fact that they keep mentioning it when they talk about 'the fiscal cliff' and the deficit, means that when they say 'no cuts' they do not really mean 'no cuts'.

They most likely already made a deal for the lame duck Congress, which is why everyone is gearing up to let them know that we know all the little tricks and we want them to take SS off that table completely.
