12. How common is it?

I and everyone I know has had a big meal with family/friends late in the afternoon. Anecdotal evidence only, I realize. But it's obviously common enough for them to open the stores.

I hate shopping anyway, though, so you'd never find me shopping on Thanksgiving or the day after.
