The trailer and clips do not do Daniel Day Lewis performance justice. I literally could not take my eyes off him whenever he was on screen. What I liked about this film was it was not a typical Spielberg film. Not a typical John Williams score either. Very low key but at the same time it had so much heart. I found myself getting choked up in scenes.James Spader and Sally Field were great but the entire cast deserves a round of applause. Tommy Lee Jones has never been better. I also liked Stephen Henderson who played Lincoln's valet (he always tried to give Lincoln a pair of gloves and he never took them) Loved everyone in it.

IMO, I think this will sweep the Oscars. Only one other film that may give Lincoln a run for it's money ad that is another Presidential biography called Hyde Park on the Hudson with Bill Murray.

You just sold 2 tickets. We're going on Monday. Thanks. russspeakeasy Nov 2012 #1
