4. For most of the time I've been on DU, I haven't had a star. No problem.

The ads didn't bother me. In fact, I don't even notice htey're not there, now that I have a star.

There are some other advantages, though. I think you can place certain people in a list that are blocked to serve on a jury against you. Things like that.
