The deer here have lost their fear of humans. They feed in our lawns and gardens. If I'm out and about at nightime or early evening or the eraly morning, they will just look at me. My guess is that there are about 20 deer in our neighborhood, and they seem to know there's a no-hunting ordinance. They seem fairly adept at avoiding cars, but don't really sweat the humans, because they can bound away at any moment at a speed no human could match, especially through the bushes and brambles.
