My daughter has to get rid of her eight year old pit bull--her baby-- because they're buying a new house and HER insurance won't cover the breed. I've had pits bulls. They're good dogs and excellent friends who usually need need enough activity to be completely happy. They need training and boundaries like any other dog
The worst, most aggressive dog we've ever had was some kind of beautiful mutt who looked like a small black German Shepard or wolf. We never figured out what had made him so mean, but we couldn't keep him. My husband is incredible with dogs and thought that what this particular dog needed the right set of circumstances which didn't include the city life, or being around children. He'd been damaged in someway. But he wasn't a pit bull.
