9. I agree with most of your proposals...

...but not these:

"Stop ALL foreign aid.

Stop ALL corporate welfare and subsidies."

We should not stop foreign aid, other countries do it and so should we. In fact we use less of our budget for this purpose than many other countries.

As for corporate welfare, sure, stop that. But subsidies? That does not seem feasible nor wise to me. There are certainly some that are not justified, and sometimes they get cemented into policy long after they have outlived their usefulness. But subsidies are a very useful governmental tool and can help us to keep certain segments of our country working well, such as agriculture. (not that there are no problems in agriculture, and not that some subsidies no longer make sense. but it is in our national interest to make sure that this segment is robust and subsidies help to do this)
