13. It doesn't make sense as a false flag operation, IMO

Who would have conducted it? The Republicans just are not competent enough to pull something like that off--and think of the consequences, if they got caught. It is by no means clear that senior intelligence officials had/have a preference for Romney, and it is hard to imagine them killing of CIA operatives in a false flag operation.

However, it has become crystal clear that the Republicans put their party above their country. They are willing--indeed, eager--to exploit for political advantage any kind of mishaps even if they damage national security in the process. They have clearly done that in this instance. They clearly see politics as civil war by other means, and are willing to do just about anything short developing a popular message to win.
