2. I just realized that Obama's 2008 vote total was the highest ever

Probably due mostly to population growth, but still, that's cool. He's the only presidential candidate to ever get above 65 million. I read somewhere that he is projected to end up with about 67 million this time, about 2.5 million short of 2008 but still the second highest in history.
