(14,881 posts)36. No need to apologize. The grind is wearing me down too...
We are so understaffed at the hospital that 2nd shift has turned into an 8 hour sprint. I am so exhausted I start making mistakes toward the end of the shift, as does everybody else. And then too exhausted the next day to do anything.
I am always hanging by a thread. Every time I start to get a little ahead, one or another emergency happens. For me, the latest one will be my tooth breaking and needing a crown. My payback for celebrating a 2nd evening with popcorn instead of holding the line at election night only.
I don't expect any program to help me. They've just come through twice now right when I was at my breaking point. Homelessness is not an option for me. When I lose my home, I lose too much of my fur and feather family. My parents used to go away for weekends and lock me out in the street when I was 14 years old. I will not be locked out in the street again, period.

How is "debt" "sold"? Is it on the open market? Won't the typical buyers-of-debt just bid higher?

Good idea and we also need to work on the most common cause of debt. Hospital bills.
