I'm not disputing the right of anybody to dislike him, obviously, and I respect your opinion although I don't share it.

I like him because he didn't have to ever lift a finger in his entire life, yet he has become a high achiever in his own right. He puts himself in life-threatening situations when he could perfectly easily ask CNN that he cover hurricanes or wars from the safety of an anchor desk. He played a huge part in drawing attention to the overwhelming atrociousness of the government's response to Katrina.

And he's friends with Kathy Griffin.

I haven't really watched CNN's coverage of the election itself, so I admit that I cannot speak at all as to how he covered it. But I like him as a person, for sure.
