12. We are/were the cash cow

Our division supported Union Carbide, we were sold to Ralston because we were the profit. We were spun off as our own company which quickly generated so much cash that the company bought 3 other businesses and they say they will continue to use the cash from our division to pay for investment in the other divisions.

They are just stripping us down to run in maintenance mode, no innovation, being in engineering, it is kind of scary right now.
