Now is as good a time as any to make him do the right thing.

I'm pretty sure he'll be a good centrist and strike some grand bargain that implements entitlement "reforms" to help with the budget deficit (which the entitlements had nothing to do with until the payroll tax cuts were implemented).

He seems to have dug his heels in about slightly raising the income tax rate for those making over $250,000. That's at least something for which to be thankful. Not much, though. The rich are rolling in money in this country, and they should be taxed appropriately in this country's time of great need.
