in the consciousness of the American public. We need to be the party that has done more for the good of America - building infrastructure; spurring economic growth with stimulus ("priming the pump" to stimulate DEMAND, which is the real key to economic growth); dispelling all that talk about "evil government" or "supply side economics" and all the fervor for Privatization... all HORRIBLE REPUBLICAN IDEAS!!

And for God's sake, hopefully he realizes that Republicans are trying to get the U.S. to jump on the Austerity bandwagon. NO!! We don't need to join Greece and Spain so many other countries whose leaders have bought into that crap. That's the LAST thing we need.

Maybe I'm just old-fashioned, but I also hope that he will shake DLC influence right off and immerse himself in Democratic history from the 1930's through the 1970's. I'd suggest that for the whole party.
