by Repugs. At least most red states have one or more oases of people who vote Dem. But not here.

And don't get me started on the weather here - 70+ days over 100 degrees in 2011, dog knows how many in 2012, but a spell of 113-114 degree days and plenty of days 105+ and 110+. ARRGGGHH. (But we don't have hurricanes and generally not much humidity.)

Surrounded by teh stoopid & teh bigoted haters and baking in the heat - a truly lovely combo!

The state ballot initiatives here are legendary in their asshatery (although not quite as insane this year as in the past couple of years)- don't know about NCs.

On one very bright side, we're spared the barrage of Pres. campaign ads in OK - the Dems don't even try, so then the Reps don't need to bother either.
