about.com has the US government owing China $1.2 trillion.

I'm just thinking that should China invade Alaska and Hawaii, chances are they won't be seeing their money any time soon. I still would like clarification on what is meant by 'owning' us in the Chinese vernacular, exactly. I find this worldview particularly fascinating.
