so I know how deep blue the state is. I "woke up" politically in 2004 and that year, I did not see a single ad for either presidential candidate.

Not sure what part of the state you are in (I'm from Westchester County) but in 2010 NY went full on teabagger with some of these congressional candidates). The road to taking back the House runs through NY (for example we have to kick Nan Hayworth to the curb).
