The political arena is where equality can be achieved or denied. It beats fighting in the streets, which I am not opposed to but only as a means of last resort. I think that during a Romney presidency, that might look like a good option for many different groups of people.

He wants to repeal DOMA, ban abortion, put serious barriers in the way of women's access to birth control. He will dismantle many of the social programs that keep the working poor from homelessness and he will hand over control of the country's economy to the bankers and corporations.

Politics are important in that we must stop his political career now, before it starts or it will be too late.
