1. Congress critters' owners have loudly spoken - destroy the US Postal Service

in any way possible.

It's not enough that the pensions funds must be serviced 75 years in Advance. (If the salaries, pensions and bennies of Congress and the President had to be serviced and paid up in full that far in advance, there'd be a discussion about ending those positions as well.)

Nor is it enough that the small business owners found that the first thing that the fully Democratic Congress, after winning its majority back in Nov 2006 was to enact postal rate hikes, except for several of the Bigger Conglomerates. (Time Warner and perhaps Amazon as well.)

What is desired by the owners of the Congress critters is that the USPS go the way of the dinosaur. And then whichever one that has made the bigger payoffs to Congress will say their name as the Postal Service of the Land. My money were betting on such to go on, would be on FedEx.
