17. I always liked Jerry Brown...

...except for two things: 1 - he is not as adamant in his positions as his father was -- not as much of a crusader for the common man; 2 - related to #1: he's a bit of an elitist -- he doesn't mean to be, probably doesn't even realize it really. He has always been a champion of new ideas and new thinking, in fact his radio show was where I first heard of Vandana Shiva. He also was a champion of the field workers and unions, back in the day -- he supported Cesar Chavez.

That said, my opinion of him has decreased over the past few years. I think he has gone all Third Way on us, which is a crying shame.
