1. Increasing poverty took care of all but the religious crazies

and people have really limited their families. Most of my old boomer friends just had one or two kids. The same goes for the younger nurses I worked with. All people could think about was feeding, clothing and educating them with side trips into things like band camp. There is nothing like an extra kid to derail the American Dream.
