I finally figured Romney out (my first topic)
For starters I'm not a compulsive gambler though from reading this post one might infer that betting is my major course of interest. I do card count pretty well though. Beat John Ascuaga's for $70 bucks at blackjack on Labor Day. Big money, yippee!
Here's what Romney did: He knew from the start of the campaign that he was a weak candidate if still the front runner on the GOP side and most likely to win his party's nomination anyway. You have to figure that as a struggling candidate running against an incumbent President Mr. Romney figured himself a 2 - 4 percentage point disadvantage in the general election. Like Bob Dole was in 1996. Just another chump put up against the Big Dawg. "Designated Loser" is how I heard Republicans refer to Dole.
OK so back last year Romney bet big money/bought options on himself LOSING by ten points or more this coming November. Just like predicting that GM drops 60% in a quarter the odds against this are quite long.
Lemme tell ya somewhere there's a casino that would write that bet...
Now that the election is right around the corner he lays this egg pissing off the 47%. Causes a HUGE increase in the value of Mitten's "puts". Just like Denny McClain and Pete Rose (for all you sports old timers) he bet against his own team*!
Think about it, wasn't it certain money to bet AGAINST himself? He directly controlled the result. And what has the Mittens always been best known for? Always taking the easiest, risk free way of making millions. or billions. Uh huh, See?
Oddly enough it might even be a legal activity. Although the scammer would likely be left vulnerable to lawsuits from aggrieved parties such as the Koch bros. Breaks your heart doesn't it?
Alright, this is the end of my first topic. Think I'll wait another five hundred posts or so before starting another one.
See me at:
Butcha gotta guess who the Meandering1 is.
*OK so maybe there is some question that Denny or Pete actually bet against themselves.

Romney seems to be one of those guys who will never be happy with the amount of money he has. If he did make these bets against himself, then he is taking the whole Republican party down with him. If it is all a scheme, then we all have become collateral damage in some way.
I found that if you have a goal, that you might not reach it. But if you don't have one, then you are never disappointed. And I gotta tell ya... it feels phenomenal. Peter LaFluer
