Rockaway Park Community Center is where Occupy Sandy has set up one of the hubs for distributing aid to people who have been hard hit by Hurricane Sandy. This Rockaway area seems to have been hit really hard and hasn't gotten much attention.

There is a video about this on CNN. It is an interview with the Congressman and they have flyover video from a helicopter.
It looks totally devastated. One of the lower income areas to be sure. I'm no fan of this cnn show, but hey.

He did mention that 'community' groups are now bringing assistance to the area.
