7. he probably was a Bain partner and shared tax reduction strategies.

It is not an unusual situation that they have to have commonality among investors to pull of tax avoidance. Let me give an example; You set up a manufacturing site in China to sell product in the US. If you push the factory price up in China you will pay more taxes in China, if you push it down you will pay more tax in the US. So you set up a marketing company in Hong Kong to buy all of the product and you offshore 15% of the cost there so the operations in China and US make marginal profit while the paper shuffling operation in Hong Kong (with a single employee issuing invoices and letters of credit) makes huge profits. No taxes in Hong Kong, no profits in the US or China. The problem here is that you have to bring all of the investors into the Hong Kong operation so that they will continue to profit at the same level as their investment. These are not publicly traded companies and typically the number of investors on a particular project are few. |

be a capable president. I think he is planning to blackmail mitt for the vp slot or a long speaking spot in tampa so he can remind us of what a hero he is.

Has to be someone Reid trusts completely. Don't think McCain falls into that category for Reid. Plus, McCain hates Obama more than he hates Romney.

11. Sarah Palin!

She found out while she was McCain's running mate (before everybody in the campaign started to hate her). Observing that Mittens has been weakened in several areas (including by his own unforced errors during his Magical Mittstery Tour), she has now decided to use the information in order to kneecap him so the GOPers will turn to her at the convention to "save" them.
Wouldn't that be fun to watch? (True, she's not a Bain investor, but she could have leaked the info to somebody who is as a cover.) |
