January 6, 2013 – Electoral votes are formally counted before a joint session of Congress.
January 20, 2013 – Oaths of office are taken by the President and Vice President; the new presidential term starts at noon.
January 21, 2013 – Inauguration Day (as the 20th falls on a Sunday).

3. Fun fact: Obama will become only the second president ever to take the oath four times...
He took it once on the steps of the capitol in 2009, but had to retake it because of a Roberts' flub - and will take it again on the 20th and 21st!
The only other president to take four oaths was FDR.
