How come the Republicans so upset with Susan Rice...

had no problem with this:

Bush Administration Eliminating 19-year-old International Terrorism Report
by Jonathan S. Landay, Knight Ridder Newspapers, April 15, 2005

WASHINGTON - The State Department decided to stop publishing an annual report on international terrorism after the government's top terrorism center concluded that there were more terrorist attacks in 2004 than in any year since 1985, the first year the publication covered.

Several U.S. officials defended the abrupt decision, saying the methodology the National Counterterrorism Center used to generate statistics for the report may have been faulty, such as the inclusion of incidents that may not have been terrorism.

Last year, the number of incidents in 2003 was undercounted, forcing a revision of the report, "Patterns of Global Terrorism."

But other current and former officials charged that Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice's office ordered "Patterns of Global Terrorism" eliminated several weeks ago because the 2004 statistics raised disturbing questions about the Bush's administration's frequent claims of progress in the war against terrorism.

2. She is female, she is african-american, she is a professional diplomat, not a politician.

Predators always pick the easiest looking target. What's hard to understand?

4. Yep, they don't understand that, for sure.

This is some of the most debased, squalid behavior I've seen in a while,
and in Washington debased and squalid is the norm.

10. No. It's because she's not a member of the All White-All Boys' Club.

The repukes have endured the past four years with a woman at the helm as SOS. They had an eight-year break from another woman who helmed the SOS spot for eight years before that. They're - McLame most notoriously, along with his little sidekick, Ms. Lindsey - have beaten about American politics for the past twelve years with nothing more to show from it but a bleat in the wilderness and they're fed up with it. Because their boy didn't get rubber-stamped into office by virture of their good friends the Koch Brothers and Sheldon Assholeson, they've yet again been relegated to the political dustbin.

5. I Still Feel That The Repugs Are Targeting The Senate Seat In Mass.....

I think if they can successfully thwart Rice from being nominated for Sec - then Obama would nominate Sen. John Kerry and leave his Senate seat in Mass vulnerable to Scott Brown.

This is more political then anything. The Repugs are looking to take back the Senate any way they could. This is my theory.
