Isn't amusing to see the Republican Party implode?

They can't just graciously concede defeat. They have lashed out exposing the most basic principle that binds them together. RACISM! With every rabid utterance they dig themselves deeper into the slime.

1. It's kind of gross.

Sort of like watching staked vampires explode. Not a pretty sight.

3. Sure is

The keep trying to blame Mitt's loss on all kinds of things, myself I like the fact that some are pointing fingers at the "entertainment" wing of the party. It seems like some may have figured out that there is a lot of money being made by the likes of Limbaugh and Beck. It also seems like those who are planing a run in 2016 are becoming "moderates" and even pushing towards being "liberal" on some issues. All I am waiting for now is to see who has the guts to stand up to Limbaugh and Beck and tell them both they are destroying the good old GOP! Of course I won't be holding my breath on that one!

4. We thought they were imploding 4 years ago.

They kicked our asses in 2010 and then the teabaggers emerged

5. Their implosion is also taking place on the Bengazi investigation.

The craziest GOP members are foaming at the mouth.

7. I worry for them.

I have to keep reminding myself, all the time, that conservatives are motivated primarily by fear. At the root of every conservative's ideology is fear, and particularly fear of change.

They fear our President, this brilliant, kind man who has deftly protected their interests better than any of their conservative heroes ever did.

They fear him not for any good reason, but because they simply cannot recognize a good person from outside of their own, quickly vanishing tribe.

These people are by and large good people, important and loved people who touch all of our lives. But like anyone else, when they are frightened their fear colors their words and actions, often in negative ways. These particular people simply lack the thinking skills they need to see that they are being manipulated.

They are frightened now, and they are acting like assholes as a result. As far as I can tell, saying anything to them at all merely frightens them more.

I think the next thing we Americans have to do for ourselves is to relentlessly and systematically extricate journalism from entertainment, so that these poor people are no longer fed fear-inducing propaganda and disinformation. Someone has to intervene on their behalf, in their interests, and out of their sight, because they will bat away any hand extended in friendship.

I have no idea how to do that.

8. I think we spent far too much time trying to talk to brick walls

When Obama was first elected, we all saw the exponential rise of outward racism on RW talk radio. Once the Tea Party idiots showed up on the scene, they just poured more gas on their racist fires.

Liberals, on the other hand, really tried for at least three years to talk to their RW family and friends and find some kind of common ground. I think we were trying to "understand" them when the truth of the matter was that they were happy being assholes who just know they're right about everything.

I've noticed that over the past two years, liberal talk show hosts who used to believe in trying to talk to these blockheads finally gave up and realized that you have to just write them off since they ignore reality and are much more happy being part of the problem rather than helping solve anything.

But you are right about them batting away any friendly hand and how sad is that? The animosity and division that was sown in the W years has come to full fruition. Thankfully, it looks like these people are becoming increasingly marginalized. They have nothing of any value to add to the conversation, so if you can ignore them, I'd would do so.

9. I've never seen any party in as much chaos as the GOP is now.

I hate to gloat over our win, but it is fun to watch.
