Pictures of Emotionally Broken Republicans after the Loss

I know this smacks of schadenfreude, but I cannot help but smile when looking these pictures over.

I have sympathy for them only because I know how I would feel if Barack Obama had *NOT* been re-elected. I disagree with their choice of who they support, but know the heart-crushing feeling of your candidate losing.

13. thank you

That was great to see. It's really kind of sad that many of those think Obama and his presidency is exactly what we know Rmoney and his would have been. They think the country is in danger from Obama just like we know it would have been in trouble with Rmoney.

Too bad Fox and hate radio exist.

Of course, most if not all have some real racial hatred to begin with for Fox and hate radio to be able to preach it to them.

57. They hated Bill Clinton too.

I'm not saying that there isn't any racism involved, but I don't think it's as big a factor as the hate for liberals.

It's also possible that they hated Clinton because he wasn't racist, but unless liberal is code for black; there was a lot of hate toward liberals.

132. I've had African American co-workers tell me the same thing...

That Clinton was our first black president.

Still, I don't believe that it is because of racism that the republicans don't like him. Unless hate radio's use of the word 'liberal' is code for 'black'.

I expect that the right-wing hatred for liberals is similar to the nazi hatred of Jews. It's ideological in nature; not race based. Based on brain washing instead of facts.

Again, obviously not in every case, but a lot of hatred toward liberals has been whipped up over the years.

The ran such an arrogant and racist campaign! They are so cavalier about women's rights, minimizing them and us! And no one from the GOP came out for democracy, instead obstructing everyone's right to vote! I will never forgive them for that!!

I voted for Obama again because I did not want to see us go into another war
I voted for Obama again because I did not want to see millions of people go without health care
I voted for Obama again because I did not want to marriage equality to linger anymore
I voted for Obama again because feudalism is not an acceptable alternative
I voted for Obama again because everyone who wants too should be able to attend college and not have a burdening debt.
I voted for Obama again because investing in America is better than investing in China

21. These pictures don't make me smile; they make me sad.

They make me sad because they make it clear how many of my
fellow citizens have been manipulated and deceived by the Republican
extremists.
There is a special place in hell for Rove, the Koch brothers and the
Bush/Cheney machine.

I feel nothing but sadness for these victims of the Republican delusion.
They have no clue as to how to join the rest of us in taking back our country.
They actually believe that Rmoney was their "great white hope."
A man who lied to them, has betrayed them and doesn't give a crap about them.
It is also a very sad visual portrayal of the level of ignorance among some our
fellow humans.
We are all Americans, even the least among us.

Looks mid 40s to early 50s. I know by where I speak cuz many of my middle aged friends are in very good shape, dress young et al. But the face is a dead give away.

Anyway menopausal women shouldn't be throwing their younger counterparts under the RW bus! We lib hags would never do that

36. Veterans for Romney~amazing.

President Obama has done so much for veterans. Romney protests for the Vietnam war, then dodges it.

I was listening to a C-SPAN caller the night before the election. She was calling from Florida, and said her entire family (60 people!) were voting Obama. Her reason was Romney's lack of military service.

She didn't elaborate, but given that President Obama isn't a veteran, I'm assuming their stance had something to do with Romney's war-mongering stance, his draft-dodging, or his apparent lack of planned support for our returning military.

but the farther inland you get, the warmer in summer. I lived near Sacramento and it could be 110+ degrees for two weeks straight! At least, my Dad (who was raised in Ontario and would know) always said it was a dry heat, therefore much more comfortable than humidity. I know he's right, but it's hard not getting ANY rainfall from June through October. This is my favorite time of year. BTW, what is a "shotgun" house? A quick sale?

and HUMIDITY. Especially being from Tennessee. I'll take "dry heat" anyday. A "shotgun" house is a very small house (less than 1000 square feet) and is long (small in the front and goes back. almost long like a "shotgun barrell" lol). They're mostly found in urban areas and poverty stricken neighborhoods.

My contempt remains with the leaders who fed the lines to the people who are scared and looking to get ahead. They believed that Mitt was the agent for change they were looking for.

Obviously, I'm not thinking about the racists or the followers of Republican Jeesey who would spit in the eye of the needy, but the people who believed in the lies.

84. This thread is obnoxious

As much as I dislike the Republican Party, I am not going to start gloating at individual supporters who are disappointed. Almost all of us over the age of 25 have been those people at some point and it's a really crappy place to be in. Every time I drive past exit 89 on I-95 in Maryland, I still get a nauseous feeling remembering that that is where I was on November 3, 2004 when my mom called to tell me Kerry conceded. I don't wish that feeling on anyone, especially not rank and file voters and activists who put their heart and soul into a campaign they believe in.

It's one thing to laugh and crow at the right wing pundits who were predicting a Romney landslide on TV. But putting up pictures of disappointed people who probably supported Romney as passionately as we supported Obama so DUers can take pleasure in their disappointment serves no purpose, and it's just plain mean in my opinion.

Yesterday was a great day for our country, culminating in the re-election of a good president whom I still believe has the potential to be great. Yesterday was a great day because it means the Affordable Care Act will be implemented and the war in Afghanistan will end in 2014 and because we will have four more years of a leader who is a steady hand in a crisis. Yesterday was a great day because Obama's re-election and the election of some great Democratic senators is a mandate for a more equitable tax system and women's rights and progressive legislation on immigration. Yesterday was a great day because the Republican attempts to suppress the vote failed. Yesterday was a great day because we re-elected a president who cares about 100% of Americans, not just 53%. That is what we should be celebrating, not the fact that some Romney supporters were understandably disappointed.

98. It makes me feel bad in that I KNOW how it feels to have our guy not win

and it was pretty awful.

On the other hand, those people should get down on their knees and thank the Lord that Nitt didn't win. Had he won, and exercised the scary agenda he had for us, they'd have FAR, FAR, SADDER faces than shown here when it finally sunk in how awful his intentions were.

I wish they'd just get a grip on reality.

SO HAPPY WE WON!!!!!!!!!!

107. Very awful!

I remember President Bill Clinton's impeachment, Al Gore's concession in 2000, and Kerry's loss in 2004. I hope they get a grip on reality too. They should have joined some of their friends a while back who formed "Republicans for Obama"...

I am so thankful that's not US in those pictures!!!

These were the same people that voted for a guy(W) who got thousands killed in Iraq for nothing. No sympathy from me. Ever.

109. These pictures remind me of...

the Confederate soldiers in the aftermath of the Civil War. Even though they lost and the Union "won" the Nation was STILL DIVIDED.

131. As deluded as I think they are ...

... I have to sympathize. Because, as a Democrat of a certain age, I've been in their shoes so many times ... crying on election night (or out getting plastered and crying) because some jackass Republican got handed the keys to the kingdom.

Humphrey. McGovern. Mo Udall. Carter. Mondale. Dukakis. Gore. Kerry. Cry, cry, cry.

Don't wanna be a killjoy, but I'm not gonna laugh at their sadness tonight. I know what it's like to feel as if the world is over and Satan won.

143. Sympathize?

These people are voting for a candidate who wants to control people's personal lives and choices, wants to re-invade Iraq and wants to smash the safety net. I refuse to sympathize with that. The rank and file is usually more racist and abhorrent than even the candidates themselves.
