Introducing Discussionist: A new forum by the creators of DU

Mon Oct 8, 2012, 04:54 PM

Ras: Obama +1 in CO, +2 in IA, Foster: Obama +3 in Michigan, Susquehanna: Obama +2 in PA

These numbers were influenced by the debate, no doubt. They're very narrow and all within the MOE. But Obama leads ... and I guess that's all that matters at this point.

2. Nothing to see here

Susquehanna had the exact same spread September 18-20 in PA when everyone else had close to double digits.

Foster had Obama up by only 2 in September in Michigan as well when everyone else had him leading by double digits.

These are obviously ridiculous polls. I'm beginning to warm to Rasmussen.

4. Seems to me it is time to wake up and take notice...

I'm not happy at the swings in the polls that I"m seeing. No they are not quite as significant as the media is portraying them to be but they make me very uncomfortable. Romney is actually an extremely bad candidate and it is up to us to remind people of that.

Since the ones who've been swayed by the debate obviously think very poorly we have to do some work.

5. I think both PA & MI are GOP pollsters, so if he is ahead in there polls

he should be okay, barring another lousy debate performance.
