Why is Kasich giving his State of the State address in Steubenville?

Is it common for a governor to give the State of the State outside of Columbus?

1. No. It's unprecedented.

The state is supposed to be broke, but Kasich will give his address and the Ohio General Assembly will spend extra bucks to travel and attend.

Kind of like the time he gave his senior staff payraises over what their counterparts in the Strickland Administration were paid. At the same time, Kasich & Co. tried to eliminate collective bargaining rights of working class public employees.

3. That's what I thought. I'd never heard of a State of the State anywhere but Columbus.

And I assume Steubenville will have to pick up the cost of the extra security and other things. I cannot wait until we vote this clown out of office. Too bad we can't recall him.

2. He doesn't want protestor to disturb him? They can't stand him in Columbus? If he was smart

he'd give it from his office.

5. He is scared of the people

In an elementary in Steubenville, OH once you get the members of the
Ohio House and Senate (who are pissed about having to take this trip)
and the press in the school's auditorium you have little room for "the
public."

8. The only reason John is in Stuebenville is that the Elks Lodge in Marietta OH

was booked up.

I can't help but think that some clever signs on I-70 would be fun.

BTW did you see this scam?
