|
Funny, the first time they couldn't get back out fast enough.
Good one. |

5. They should have thrown the cat in just for shits and giggles (they can swim)...
|
... and anything involving Benny Hill (except for "Chitty Chitty, Bang Bang") probably involved naked titties.

23. Oh yeah, I throw them up over the bed all the time. Then there's the "get off the sink" toss.
|
My big boy's too heavy to toss anymore, but he always loved it - meant impending belly rubs! The kittens both love the bed toss too. The other two cats aren't real big on it.

7. Brings Back a Happy Memory
|
When I was growing up on the farm, our banty hens regularly hatched out the duck eggs Dad put under them. (A determined banty can hatch a golf ball, didja know?) When she paraded her new "children" out into the yard for the first time, the ducklings of course made a beeline for the pond next to the chicken yard.
I often wondered what was going through the poor little hen's head as she ran back and forth along the water's edge, clucking authoritatively and being totally ignored by her bratty little kids, lol. |

Do you have more sweet stories like that one?
I have a quaint saying from a friend's grandma, upon seeing the sky just start to clear up after a storm she might be heard to say,"There's about enough blue to make a patch for a pair of kitten britches". |

11. I raised a baby duckling. I took it to a creek.
|
I showed it a crawdad to show him the wonderful creatures that were in the water and he shouldn't be afraid of the water.
> > > > Little duckling broke the crawdad in half with his beak and ate it within 2 seconds.. I fucking love natural instincts. Didn't have to teach that duckling shit. |

that moment when they get it is soul satisfying, seeing a living creature embrace their natural instincts. And how they ran away and denied it until they were literally thrown into it. Awesome.

My favorite snippet is near the end, when the two darker ducks swim by with a white duck near them. They are quacking and quacking, and it looks like they're talking excitedly together about how AWESOME this is.
