Republican Congressman Joe Heck Baffles Soledad O'Brien With Bizarre Quasi-Defense Of Susan Rice

Unless this turns out to be a very long, very stupid day, this segment from Thursday morning's Starting Point has to be the WTF Clip Of The Day. Congressman Joe Heck (R-NV), as in "Heck if I know what he's talking about," appeared on CNN's morning show to talk about hearings on the Benghazi attacks of Sept. 11, but jumped the tracks when host Soledad O'Brien asked him to defend the despicable scapegoating of U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice. O'Brien asked Heck if he agreed with Sens. John McCain and Lindsey Graham that any potential Rice nomination should be blocked, and he replied with some sort of reverse Jedi mind trick that ended with a weird pseudo-defense of Ambassador Rice.

1. They've created their own little universe.

He thinks his argument makes perfect sense, and it does, in their world because they watch FOX news and listen to right-wing radio all the time and only talk to like minded people. It's RR the bubble.

3. I haven't seen where anyone in the administration lied. They just said what they knew at the time.

They were getting info from sources and trying to relate the info as best they could in an unstable situation. Susan Rice did nothing wrong. The crazy Republicans should support the families of those who died and those hurt by this incident and get busy helping our country. Investigate - yes, but not in the exclusion of everything else. Why is it all a wrestle for power and not "let's serve for the betterment of the nation and the world"?

Don't they feel any responsibility to fix problems and cooperate with elected leadership. Wake up Republicans and get on the job. We need to fix all the things your Party has screwed up. We need your help. Follow our elected administration and get of your insane train.

5. They're scrambling to build a case for impeachment.

Willing to stop all progress and spend millions going down every obscure rabbit hole they can find to GET OBAMA. Sounds familiar, doesn't it?

6. Hell, Nevada's junior us senator is named Heller.

Yep, NV has a Heller and Heck serving the state in congress. Heller was appointed after crook John Ensign resigned. Heller won election to a full term this year.
