$$ flying, as big pharma lobbyists figuring out a way to legalize and tax it, and give corporations singular ownership of "a cancer treatment."

3. Think about this fact:
|
The DEA has no intentions of doing any research at all on this..
They also will not budge as the Law is clear... Even the DEA cannot do the research by Law either... Any Drug that is in Schedule #1 on the Controlled Substance List is banned for any Research by ALL.. I will bet you can only guess why and who set this up this way.... It will take a act of Congress to change things today.. So barking up the wrong tree will not change anything.. The DEA is self serving and so big now and its main focus in on Cannabis eradication.. It will snow in Hell before they change anything... |

8. DEA takes its orders from DHHS.
|
The DEA has been petitioned repeatedly to reschedule MJ to no avail. Until the scientists at DHHS acknowledge the research already done or do their own research nothing will change.
http://www.canorml.org/dearejectspet.html The question should be, who is keeping MJ illegal and why? It certainly has nothing to do with public health or safety. This fact alone should be sufficient to prove to anyone paying attention that the function of the Federal government is NOT to protect the average American citizen. Its function is clearly to protect the interests of the 1% no matter how many lives it costs. |

10. Not true
|
It says clearly in you link that the DEA used the Data DHHS had to bolster their position for rejecting the Petition...
It is the DEA who is the Biggest Law enforcer of Federal resources to Eradicate Cannabis is the U.S... By Design... 80% used for Cannabis..... the DEA has a budget Well over $2 Billion a year not including Forfeitures and Confiscations. Its their CASH COW.. If Cannabis was rescheduled??? The DEA would be able to Justify all that Cash for a Yearly Budget... They way the DEA also tied this issue so tight as to take a act of Congress to change it was designed too... Playing God in effect.. It has been this way since Nixon... He made it this way to protect his Ass Politically from the Opposition of the War.. Putting those protestors in jails for Pot... Silencing them.. Or so he thought.. |

6. The country is slowly turning green
Maybe if conservatives continue to see the futility of the WOD, and personally benefit from the herb, the trend will continue--I hope. |
