My brethren wolves do a great deal to leave humans alone. If a rancher can show that a wolf did kill a cow, the govt will compensate them for it. Unfortunately I have met and had dealings with many ranchers who find that they have a missing cow or a dead one and instantly say 'Wolf!' followed by a bunch of bullshit about how evil we are.

Now I have to make prayers for another brethren that went across BriFrost to the Wild Hunt. After that I will make another wolf-killer voodoo doll. I might try putting this new one in the freezer.

It is not often that we see all sides to a person. And in general, to be considered for a job that for them, the pay is nominal, one has success in the business world.

She is interested in preserving the nation's parks and wilderness - in the face of the very organizations that you mention and the political leaders who want them sold off to private interests lock, stock and barrel. Once any public asset is privatized or sold off, it is gone forever.

We have libertarian repukes working to steal all public park land, in every state. They are attempting to take the last opportunity many have to see and be inspired by nature and to save biodiversity on this planet. I live where these resources being protected from sale is important to us.

We have largely decided to live in more compressed spaces to preserve them while paying taxes to keep them up but we feel that they belong to everyon. So we take those who would gate those lands off and tell us to never see them again, personally.

REI is also a big business here and many of us know them and their employees, as part of the nature loving culture here. Nothing's perfect, not on this plane of existance.

I suspect this person is one of those who by education or connections, or personal skill, would be able to work for any kind of enterprise, public or private and may not be in love with the fossil fuel industry or has a lust for stealing homesteads. My family was driven off their land by oil barons; but had to work as roughnecks for the same in the Depression. To get back on their feet they had to go to town. They got intp the unions and built their lives again.

Yes, there was bitterness. But there was a need for survival as well. I know people that work with banks who are pencil pushers. DU and the media have developed a new classification of people for whom we lay all the sins of society upon, disregarding any of the individuals. There's a name for that, when you ignore a person's humanity, even if you don't agree with their employment.

I have an opinion on this person that does not meet some others' expectations to hate oilers and bankers. I can't live my life that way, it doesn't profit me to comb over every single move that Obama makes and find a reason to hate it all. I am not fond of either industry, religion, or capitalism in general but they won't go away because of that. I may find some horrible thing about her and withdraw my superficial remark approving her but I won't go the Tea Party route and say 'kill the oilers and the banksters.' That's how it feels around somedays, and I'm not referring to you or anyone in particular, it's just the tone. It's disappointing to see the knee jerk animosity without all the facts. Just the associations shouldn't condemn people, their actions should.

My thoughts too....I was initially encouraged when I saw REI but then seeing the banker/oil engineer in her past sort of tempered my enthusiasm.

She has to immediately stop the wofl hunts and DEMAND that it be based on science and not ranchers bullshit rhetoric...
