Missing property tycoon found lost, ragged and scarred (Ireland)

Source: BBC

A missing Irish property developer has been found wandering, lost and emaciated on a country road, eight months after he disappeared.

Kevin McGeever, 68, is recovering in hospital in Mullingar, County Westmeath.

He was found barefoot, ragged and with an abusive word carved into his head.
...
"He told Gardai he was abducted by three masked men from the garden of his home in Craughwell in County Galway. That is a mansion of a home. He said the kidnappers had demanded a ransom for his safe release but he did not know whether a ransom had been paid," Mr Reynolds said.

Very strange. There must be more to come out, I think.

1. At first I hoped it would be Trump found in a ground hog hole with only the top of his hair showing.

3. I fear you might be right however, it doesn't excuse the kidnapping and carving on his

forehead. Also he said he didn't know if the ransom was paid or not. Where I wonder if his family looked for him if the paid for the ransom. Something fishy about this story. I wonder if any of his relatives had something to do with his disappearance.

4. Yes, money always complicates things

The carving thing, he must've made some real enemies.

6. Yep, the root of all evil is money. To me if a person came from nothing and made it to

the top then I admire someone like that. As opposed to the likes of a Romney who inherited his wealth who may not know what callouses are because he never built it on his own. Then again no one deserves to be kidnapped. Even a Romney.

7. I agree, I admire a person who earned it while contributing talent and skill to a community

The kidnapped made his money selling real-estate in Dubai, I gather he also made some enemies.

9. Maybe so. However, did the family pay? If they did and they released him then

how has he been gone for 8 months and no one knew where he was. Don't they have some type of Alert system that they would put up on tv? Just wondering.

11. Yes, many unanswered questions

Why keep him for 8 months? And he really can't remember any of it?

8. It's the love of money that's the root

of all evil. You simply cannot put all wealthy people in the same category.
