Akin adviser: Karl Rove super-PAC 'a colossal failure'This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by Tx4obama (a host of the Latest Breaking News forum). Add Rick Tyler, spokesman and key adviser to Rep. Todd Akin, to the list of Rove critics. Tyler is a Newt Gingrich ally and political strategist who journeyed to Missouri in late August to assist Akin's ill-fated campaign for the Senate. "They lost every race. It was a colossal failure," Tyler said of Rove's political entities. "They went out with their power points and convinced people to give money, but it was as pathetic a performance as I've ever seen." I still think PACs are super dangerous. I don't want anyone to come way from this thinking that they were a "colossal failure". They failed, but I bet they would have failed a lot harder without hundreds of millions of dollars pushing against us.

18. EXACTLY.... rMoney shouldn't have been able to get as close as he did
|
Anyone so fucking stupid as to put a dog on the roof of a car (much less a vulture capitalist who made a fortune ruining peoples lives) shouldn't be able to come within 3% nationally of Barack Obama. If they'd have run a somewhat more acceptable candidate and we could very well have been in trouble.

Your final choices were Mitt, Newt, or Santorum this time around. Who they gonna get next time? Christie would be challenging but how's he gonna get past super tuesday?

but I doubt it. These guys always hang on like an Arkansas tick. He'll lay low for awhile and then come back in some other capacity. Perhaps he'll die before then - he looks terrible and he's too fat.

But I would have to question Mr. Tyler's support for a candidate who believes in magical vaginas. That probably didn't help either. LOL

Henry VIII's henchman. Oh he caused the downfall of many, was truly heartless.
Oh but when it was time for his own undoing....and that's the thing, there always comes a time for these guys in some way...the frantically look to place blame elsewhere and cry like babies for mercy. Julie |

You can sell your soul to the Devil, or you can get run over. Karl Rove did both. Could not happen to a more deserving fellow.

and they ended up losing both, as well as losing face.
If they weren't such a*holes in the first place it would be just another loss. But their hubris... aaaahhh, I love that they got *so* slapped down. |

"Clearly, Rove has too much control over the purse strings," Tyler said, speaking on his way home from Missouri."
From Axe.. "If I were one of those billionaires who were funding Crossroads and those other organizations, I'd be wanting to talk to someone and asking where my refund is," Axelrod said.
