BBC says broadcasts being disrupted in Middle East, Europe
Source: Reuters
(Reuters) - The BBC said on Thursday its broadcasts were being disrupted in the Middle East and Europe. It did not say who was interfering with the signal. "The BBC, together with a number of other broadcasters, is experiencing deliberate, intermittent interference to its transmissions to audiences in Europe and the Middle East," it said in a statement. "Deliberate interference such as the jamming of transmissions is a blatant violation of international regulations concerning the use of satellites and we strongly condemn any practice designed to disrupt audiences' free access to news and information," the BBC said. > Services suffering disruption included the BBC World News and BBC Arabic television channels and BBC World Service radio services in English and Arabic, the statement said. http://uk.reuters.com/article/2012/10/18/uk-media-bbc-idUKBRE89H0K020121018 Read more: http://uk.reuters.com/article/2012/10/18/uk-media-bbc-idUKBRE89H0K020121018

1. The imposition of information control is always interesting
|
And this looks fairly sophisticated, really; who has the ability to directly and intentionally interfere with satellite transmissions?

3. My first guess would be related to Rupert Murdock and the money behind him

with the satellites. But I would also wonder about the HAARP radio transmitter farms across the globe designed to "help" with the weather patterns.

4. High frequency radio signals, almost certainly
|
And not a difficult or secret technology either. Not to go tinfoil here, but what is interesting is that the HAARP transmitters may be used exactly for this purpose.

2. My first two guesses would be Iran and Syria
|
Iran would be close enough it could to affect some of Europe.
