Romney: Obama responsible for 'apology' issued after embassy attackLast edited Wed Sep 12, 2012, 10:57 AM USA/ET - Edit history (2)
Source: Examiner
Mitt Romney today again denounced the embassy attacks in Cairo and Libya today, calling the apology sent out by the Cairo embassy a 'disgrace.' "That reflects the mixed signals that they are sending to the world." Romney said, calling the apology a "terrible course" of action while the American embassy in Cairo was breached. Romney noted that although President Obama tried to distance himself from the statement, his administration was responsible. "The President takes responsibility not just for the words that come from his mouth, but the words that come from his ambassadors, from his administration, from his embassies, from his State Department. They clearly sent mixed messages to the world, and the statement that came from the administration and the embassy is his administration." The statement in question was issued by the U.S. embassy in Cairo in repsonse to the attack: "The Embassy of the United States in Cairo condemns the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims – as we condemn efforts to offend believers of all religions," the embassy said in a statement published online. 1> Make statement
2> Stand by statement 3> Contradict statement 4> Deny ever making statement 5> Go to step 1. |

23. Maybe give Obama credit for killing Bin Laden?
|
If Obama is responsible for the actions of his subordinates at the State Department, then he's responsible for those in the Military as well?

It's Con-sti-tu-tion, not Consatusshun....
He's on tranquilizers, or something. The same drug he was on during the convention. He's taking QUESTIONS (and doing TERRIBLY) --someone needs to ask for his TAXES...!!!!! |

15. They apologized, hopefully because they have regret, but more importantly....
|
because President Obama actually has a record of killing people who attack, kill or plot against citizens of this country. The threat of a ground invasion isnt much of a deterrent. A drone strike is. Another reason I support him.

I noticed the information (kinda buried) here (right below the disgusting tweet by Reince Priebus):
http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/middle-east-live/2012/sep/12/libya-egypt-attacks-muhammad-film-live "US ambassador Chris Stevens killed in Libya - live updates" Brian Whitaker and Tom McCarthy guardian.co.uk, Wednesday 12 September 2012 05.45 EDT "...The Cairo embassy issued its statement calling for tolerance after a crowd had gathered at the site. Such calls for tolerance are standard procedure. As part of its response in 2006 to outrage over cartoons depicting the Prophet Mohammed, the Bush administration issued a statement saying of the cartoons, "We find them offensive, and we certainly understand why Muslims would find these images offensive."" |
