Detroit Free Press President Barack Obama – making a campaign swing through Toledo today – stopped at a local diner to have breakfast with three autoworkers.
According to the report filed by the press pool that travels with the president, Obama met the workers at Rick’s City Diner, with people lining the streets as the motorcade went by.

The two dozen or so diners in the restaurant applauded as Obama came in and sat with the auto workers.

The president chatted with the autoworkers for a while but little of the conversation could be heard. At one point, the pool heard Obama telling the autoworkers about his first car, a Jeep.

The autoworkers work for the GM powertrain plant and the Jeep plant in Toledo, and the Jeep Wrangler plant in Perrysburg OH.
