Tried tuning in to The Ted Cruz Amateur Hour...

I just can't stomach it, much as I tried. Apparently I have seriously overestimated the bar not only for public office, but also for law school.

1. He might talk like some goober

but it's as big an act as it was when Stupid did it.

He's a lot more dangerous than Stupid was because he's a lot smarter.

However, his main talent seems to lie in making enemies wherever he goes. I'm just glad he didn't get elected until after the GOP star had started to dim and fizzle. They might have tolerated him better if he'd been around when they felt invulnerable, when Rove was burbling on about a permanent GOP majority for at least a century.

2. I'm not sure about the smarter thing. He just tried to conflate our founders as having made this

a Christian nation. Maybe that's what they all think, who knows? Or maybe he's secretly a Mormon who believes in lying for God. No matter, as long as there are those who will lap up his gruel. He really and truly acts as though he is acting, auditioning, as it were (and in my mind, he is in his mind).
