1. So true.

I retired at 71 and fortunately, I am not yet living in a tent, but in a mobile home. Luckily, I am not yet foraging for food. At least with social security, I can afford to eat.

2. that's presented as a joke but it is pretty much true

I don't think most people have yet grasped the "new retirement" - essentially you need to not have ANY fun and never stop working

3. Here's how it works...

They freeze wages so you live paycheck to paycheck and then they tell you at 65 that you should have been saving since you were 20 but since you didn't that makes you a loser.

So now it's your fault.

4. they freeze wages, ditch your pension and skyrocket the cost of all essentials, like healthcare

THEN tell you it is your own fault when you don't have 1.5 million bucks for a "safe" retirement

5. Pension? What's that?

Seriously. Most workers today have no idea.

You mean you have money being pooled in the company and it grows the longer you stay and it'll pay you a check every month when you retire?

What Commie forced your boss to do that?

6. Ditching the pension was bad enough, but they also are siphoning of all your 401K money that you

manage to save by levying ridiculous fees.

I really hope karma is real.
