MSNBC Analyst: Bachmann On Intel Committee ‘An Embarrassment To The U.S.’

MSNBC political analyst Karen Finney blasted House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) for keeping Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) on the House Intelligence Committee.

Bachmann will remain on the committee that oversees intelligence operations, even though Boehner admitted last year it was “pretty dangerous” for her to accuse Huma Abedin, deputy chief of staff for Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, of infiltrating the U.S. government on behalf of Islamic radicals.

“She can’t be trusted, she has already proven she can’t be trusted,” Finney said. “That is what the situation with Huma proved. I think with regards to Speaker Boehner it shows that he is weak and feels he has to appease the right-wing, but also this is an embarrassment to the United States of America.”

“Remember that in other countries when they see a person that is like Michele Bachmann who is part of the American government, they don’t necessarily always make the distinction between the Congress and the Administration and all that,” she continued. “They see someone who is an instrument of the American government on a witch-hunt against Muslims. Now how do you think that impacts the way people think and feel about this country in other parts of the world?”

7. Yes. We have our share of right-wingers in MN. Most of them

seem to live in the northern suburbs, where her district is. Both Minneapolis and St. Paul, however, are strong Democratic districts. Keith Ellision and Betty McCollum are our representatives. I'm proud to support Betty in her campaigns.

8. she's been reelected due primarily to extensive gerrymandering

as a Minnesotan, this was the one real buzzkill to last November's elections for me....

4. Michele Bachmann does not play with a full deck as she has demonstrated time and time

again. She should be left in a padded corner of the house so she can marginally represent the nitwits that elect her and that's it. ...
