8. I posted this a while back.
But it bears repeating. Back when Reaganomics was being floated my very smart father made the observation that "This will not work. Republicans believe you can water a tree by spraying the leaves. Democrats know you've got to water the roots."
It's a shame it took the country 30 years to realize that wisdom.

Is it lack of education? Is it that they are too afraid not to believe it?

7. That is the crux of the problem.
I think they are willing to vote against what they know are their best interests in order to make sure no brown people get something that they don't.
