Eric Hartsburg Tattoos Mitt Romney Logo Onto Forehead, Speaks Out After Election

It's quite possible that no one is more upset about Mitt Romney's loss than Eric Hartsburg.

The pro-wrestler from Indiana permanently tattooed Romney's presidential campaign logo on his face before the election. Hartsburg was paid $5,000 to get the 5-by-2-inch tattoo after he put his face up "for sale" on eBay.

Hartsburg has no regrets, he told Politico, but he is “totally disappointed” by the election’s results.

“I’m the guy who has egg all over his face, but instead of egg, it’s a big Romney/Ryan tattoo. It’s there for life,” he said.

Hartsburg, who did not tell his wife about the tattoo until an hour before he got it, said he has received a lot of negative feedback. But the self-proclaimed “tattoo guy” said his motive was to make politics fun and he hopes the tattoo will open some doors for him in the entertainment business.

You know... I was having a crappy morning today and I really feel at the end of my rope - but at least I'm not this guy.

4. It would have been equally stupid to have

the Obama logo tattooed on the face.

What part of tattoos being permanent did this guy miss?

6. Exactly.... it's his FACE for goodness sakes

This wouldn't even be a story if it was on his torso or one of his limbs.

10. He also put his forehead up for auction--for real

Yours would be a good suggestion, but he opened the bidding at $5,000 (and he rejects designs he doesn't like).

7. I know how he feels

That Dole/Kemp tattoo I got on my ass doesn't look all that great 16 years later.

11. Much smarter to wait and see how it turned out, Like these tats:

And yes, they're two different people:

Though it doesn't have to be the candidate's name to know how they vote:

14. The only reason this seems any smarter to

me is at least the Clinton tattoo's are on their arm. Otherwise, it seems just as dumb to me to tattoo Clinton on yourself as it does Romney.

where the opposable thumbs start. Then it becomes crime against humanity.

15. I think all tattoo's are stupid

Not to judge anyone I have many friends, and relatives who have them, but tattoo's are still dumb. This guys tattoo is especially stupid, because even if Rmoney would've won he would've only been President for 4 to 8 years, and his tattoo would still be stuck on his face for live.

23. I agree

A lot of my girlfriends got tattoos right when they went to college. I didn't. When they asked me why I said it was because most of them look trashy. And even when they don't, you might get tired of them, the aesthetic will go out of style, or you'll get old and they'll shrivel.

Exactly what happened to this guy, except the style changed quicker than most lol.

There are laser procedures that can be done to remove it.

19. Yeah but they cost a fortune and if this guy had to auction his face on Ebay he probably

can't afford to get it removed. Also it takes months and months of painful treatment and colors like red are really difficult to remove totally.

25. On the bright side...

We've learned something... when auctioning yourself as tattooed advertizing space, include the cost of removal as the floor for bidding. You know, just in case... lol

18. On the bright side for him, people will probably forget the Romney logo pretty quickly

Eight months from now, most people who see him will just think it's some sort of kewl 'tribal' thing...

24. I don't understand face/neck tattoos in general.

Couldn't you accomplish the same thing for $1.50 by purchasing a marker and writing "I Do Not Want a Job" on your forehead?

Sure, it's a bit of a stretch, but it beats admitting the truth..
