Media keeps trying to analyze why Obama was crying the other dayLast edited Sat Nov 10, 2012, 11:53 AM USA/ET - Edit history (1)
It is simply this....
He looked around, saw a bunch of idealistic 20-somethings who worked their asses off for 18 months... ...and he knew the country was going to be OK. The future will be bright. Just like Kennedy inspired a generation in the 60s... Obama has done the same 50 years later. Those staff members in Chicago will be the ones running the Democratic party for the next several decades... And everything is going to be OK.

He cancelled the credit cards right after he conceded. His emotions may be anger-based, but he's got `em.
Obama, on the other hand, is cool, collected and compassionate about what he does. He has a big and loving heart. Those tears were from his soul. He truly cares. I think they even surprised him. May Obama accomplish all he wants to do in his second term and leave the Republicans in his dust. Bless him! |

35. Boner's bizarre blubbering
|
For the longest time, I thought Boner's penchant for weeping was exaggerated-- until I watched Diane Sawyer interview him and saw it for myself. It was the most bizarre thing!
As I recall, serial killer Ted Bundy also exhibited the same oddball behavior of becoming visibly emotional when speaking to authorities--not about the dozens of women he murdered--but about inanimate objects, such as an abandoned bicycle. When it came to his victims, he was cold as ice--no remorse--not a flicker of emotion. It was chilling. Now I'm not saying Boner is a sexual psychopath, but he is one cold SOB, who breaks down sobbing over essentially nothing, and yet is glacially apathetic when it comes to the suffering of millions of 'fellow Americans.' I find it deeply disconcerting having him in such a position of power. He seems a bit unbalanced, to say the least. IMO. |

8. Contrast Obama's Tears of Gratitude
|
Let's compare President Obama's heartfelt, emotional thanks to the people who worked so hard to Mitt's Romney's campaign canceling the workers credit cards before the sun came up on Wednesday morning.
Let's also compare the President's tears for the hopes of so many working people who have no voice against powerful, evil forces to John Boehner's blubbering "I lived the American Dream"; meaning hooray for me, I'm so wonderful! Who would you rather have leading the country? |

There were tough times there and good times. It's the place he and Michelle call home.
It's where Harold Washington fought the same tough battles as Obama and FINALLY won. It's where life is hard and beautiful. It's where if you walk from neighborhood to neighborhood you see a lot of wonderful people willing to work, willing to heal but in the economy we have now sometimes unable to do either. And he is SO grateful to his supporters and these guys have a special place in his heart. They DO remind him of himself (IF he'd had someone like an Obama to look up to for guidance.) He'd just successfully paved the way for kids like these to do even more. Like a parent knowing that you've been able to do SOME things to make your kids lives better, it suddenly becomes "worth it" to have faced the pain and struggles that ALMOST but DID NOT destroy you. It was a hard fought battle and here was one important reminder of why he started it in the first place. THAT and for goodness sake, he's only human after all. |

The complete filthy crap thrown at him for 4-5 years now has to do something to you. He has to be "Presidential" so he grins and bears it, but now that his last campaign is over, it must be a great weight off his mind, and a great vindication. Talking about the long way they came to be elected again and the adversity was too much for his exhausted mind to deal with, hence a few tears.
