With all due respect Mr. Brokaw, you are flat out wrong!

Tom said: "I don't remember when the Middle East was more fractured' than it is now."

Yes, he said that today on Meet the Press. By making that statement Tom has lost what little credibility he had left. You don't have to be a history buff to know that's a bunch of bull! Tom acts as if the problems facing us in the Middle East started once President Obama took office.

4. He sold out and then made millions with his "greatest generation" books

only those that sell out have hit books

those that remain true, their books linger on the shelf before being returned(like Dan Rathers')

5. Brokaw is actually quite conservative

I have been reading between the lines of his brand of BS for a lot of years. The difference between Brokaw and say todays MSM hosts is that Brokaw was much slicker at getting repuke talking points out there, he paraphrased them, always pushing the conservative frame though.

7. The Middle East seems to be the Repug talking points today, or is it just me?

Even if they don't win the conversation, they at least got out the ME is fractured...the ME is about to explode...the ME is about to erupt and it's all Obama's fault.

You know the game...say those words often enough and they become fact.

8. Brokaw has always been a pompous blowhard.

He was nothing without Jane Pauley. He's just another vastly overpaid and over-credited jerk.

And as for the "Greatest Generation", that little meme he started, THEY were the ones who refused to back up their kids in the streets fighting against an illegal war. F*ck that noise.

I have never liked or respected Brokaw. You would think he would retire gracefully and go do other things, but no.

What an absurd thing for him to say.

To quote you: "Tom acts as if the problems facing us in the Middle East started once President Obama took office."

I just want to know if that was intentional or unintentional on his part. Either way, it was irresponsible, and whatever shred of credibility he had before is definitely gone now.

Just not good at deciphering, analyzing or realizing the meaning of what the Hell he was reading.

19. Brokaw wants Romney to win so badly, Brokaw's ass is itching.

The Middle East was never more fractured because WE never had a President that started two wars and we no longer hold up brutal dictators regardless of how they brutalize their people. Tom Brokaw is a fucking fool.

20. Ranks up there with his remark about people waiting for their Medicare checks.

Between old age and overdosing on sucking Jack Welch's dick, I think Brokaw is officially unfit to speak on any media as some authority on politics and history.

21. if that's true tom, it's due to bu$h*/cheney invading countries at will under false pretenses

i see a concerted effort by the right and the media to swiftboat President Obama's foreign policy successes. that's all they have.
