Introducing Discussionist: A new forum by the creators of DU

Sat Oct 6, 2012, 03:57 PM

The introduction of road runners to urban locales would greatly reduce the encroachment of coyotes.

And also bring a great boon to the steel industry from safes and anvils falling from the sky.

Per a study by several really cool top level universities.

This would greatly reduce the chance of lions, tigers and bears into the urban landscape as they all hate the idea of being flattened by large metal objects falling from the sky.

(sorry, it was just sitting there asking for it)

4. We should also ban pic-a-nic baskets from urban areas to prevent bears moving in.

12. Won't help.

I live in a city bordering a national park.
They skip over the pic-a-nic baskets and go straight for the trash cans and dumpsters.
And my bird feeders.

5. Accident levels would rise due to vehicles slamming into tromp l'oeil tunnels.

I'm sorry, I just can't take your proposal seriously.

9. Good point. I really hate it when someone paints a tunnel on a rock face and I try to drive through

11. But on the other hand,

and speaking as a poisonous bird seed salesman, I think we might be able to work something out with the Highway Department.
