5. They've been saying that since 2009! The unemployment is much higher!!!! People have given up!

I'm sure that's true. It has always been true. It will continue to be true. But we can't get a statistic on that, and since it was true last month, and the month before that, and the month before that, aren't we still comparing apples to apples?

8. Except that is not a fact, it's a falsehood.

The metric used to count the unemployed is very sophisticated, and it includes those who are no longer seeking employment.
